Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a faith-filled family with loving, committed parents. He is the youngest son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome. Angelina, one of the early pioneers of the Assemblies, of God Church in Benin City, as well as the matriarch of Oyakhilome's Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace in her son from the beginning.
The LoveWorld ministry is supported by the entire family. His brother, Reverend Ken, is the esteemed Pastor of Christ Embassy's Houston, Texas Church and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which is home to several global best-selling gospel artists.
Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon decided to follow her father's lead of sharing the Word of God to all people. The name is CSO (Community Service Organization) She is a talented gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies in Edo College. After a grant was made to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he received an BSc degree in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He holds an honorary divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received a call from God to be a minister and to serve the Lord.

The Man of God who was still studying at the university, founded what would eventually become one of the most important church in the world. The LoveWorld ministry, under the leadership of Chris, the pastor Chris, became an early pioneer in satellite television as well as Christian TV programming. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa 24/7 a day, via free-to-air networks. There are LoveWorld television stations on cable and satellite networks around the world.
Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria as well as South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church operates two Healing Schools, based in South Africa and Canada, in which Pastor Chris organizes seasonal sessions during which miracles are performed.

The Man of God founded NGOs to offer vital services and bring hope to the poor, needy, and forgotten. COFI's five partners all share a common objective: to improve living standards and improve the quality of life in the poorest areas.
COFI manages the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission.
