We've just released version 3.4.20.0 of the launcher which includes beta support for ARM based devices as well as preparations for translations and multilanguage support.
At first, ATLauncher did not work well with ARM devices, but with this update we've included support for running Minecraft on ARM devices. We have tested it extensively and it should be able to work. However should you be using an ARM device and are experiencing issues, please contact us in Discord to inform us of the issue. We now fully support ARM devices.
We've been working on making the launcher compatible with multi-language languages. While we aren't there yet, we're getting close. The last step is to bring the translations up-to-date so that the UI can be modified to accommodate different languages. If you're fluent in English and another language and want to help with the translation of the launcher, please visit our CrowdIn page and join us in translating. Feel free to contact us through the #translations channel of our Discord.
Jul 11 2022 - Mojang Accounts cannot be played online anymore
We're currently seeing a variety of issues that are being reported where users cannot access online servers with their non-migrated Mojang account.
It appears that Microsoft has ended account support for Mojang accounts. in order to play on servers online now, you must migrate your account to an Microsoft account as the legacy api's used for session management within the game no longer work.
This may just be a bug, but more than likely it's intentional and you'll not be able to sign in to servers on the internet using Mojang accounts from now on.
May 18, 2022 CurseForge Modpacks Project Distribution Tggle
CurseForge was not without a caveat when it announced that the official API could be made available to third-party use. CurseForge projects would be able to decide whether third party downloads are allowed for their projects. CurseForge mods now have the option to block distribution to third-party clients.
This change is in effect as of today. It will affect modpack downloads from CurseForge.
Modpacks that include mods that have disabled third parties from downloading them will require extra steps to manually download those mods using your browser to complete the installation process.
Similar steps will be required for modifications that are added to instances from CurseForge.
If you see any difficulties downloading CurseForge modpacks or mods, please reach out on our Discord.
