Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December th, 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family that was a faith-based one, and was surrounded by loving and loving parents. He was the oldest of four children born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family who imprinted her divine grace on her son from an early age.
The entire family is engaged with the LoveWorld ministry. The Reverend brother of Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is home of several international best-selling gospel singers.
Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, who is also referred to by CSO is a CSO member who has decided to follow the example of her father by sharing the gospel of God the world. She is an accomplished, award-winning gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his studies in Edo College. After a scholarship was awarded to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he earned an BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the location where he sensed God calling him to be an ordained minister to the Lord.

The Man of God began what would later become one of the biggest churches in the world when He was still a student at university, with the small group of prayer known as 'Youth for Christ', which later grew into the most popular groups of its kind on campus. It also served as the basis of the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers across the globe.
Under Pastor Chris's guidance under the direction of Pastor Chris, the LoveWorld ministry became an innovator in satellite television and Christian television production and programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station broadcast out of Africa to the rest of the world, 24/7, all the time on free-to-air channels. In the present, LoveWorld television stations are available on satellite and cable networks around the world.
Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The ministry also runs two Healing Schools located in South Africa, Canada and the US, where Pastor Chris leads seasonal sessions, where miracles can be achieved.
Music and Gospel Music form an integral element of worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for gospel music. Christ Embassy Churches have a choir that is trained and overseen by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these singers are successful in their solo career.

Apart from preaching the gospel message, the Man Of God has also created NGOs that are tasked with providing vital services and hope for the most vulnerable and neglected people. COFI is a partnership of five who are dedicated to improving the living conditions in the least-served regions.
The InnerCity Mission for Children The InnerCity Mission for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps(VMC), Traga Care International Foundation [TCIF], Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), and Bible For All Mission are all part of COFI. Bible For All Mission, the Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), and COFI umbrella. Each of these groups strives to enhance the health and lives of those who are most in need.
