Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (December 7 63, Nigeria) was born to a family of faith and loving, dedicated parents. He is the elder of three sons who was born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founding members of the Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God on her son from a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry is actively supported by all members of the family. Reverend Ken is his brother. He is the most revered minister of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member on Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) in which several gospel artists are among the top-selling artists worldwide.

Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon has chosen to follow the route of her father in spreading the gospel of God to the world. Also known CSO, she is a Grammy-winning gospel artist and a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship that allowed him to pursue studies at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he graduated with an BSc. in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. Additionally, he holds an honorary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he was prompted by God to go into the ministry and be an obedient servant of the Lord.

While he was at the university, The Man of God founded what would be one of the largest churches worldwide. He established an unassuming prayer group dubbed "Youth for Christ" that would eventually develop into the most renowned organisation of its type on campus. It would also serve as the basis for the future Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated with millions of followers all over the globe.

Under the direction of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television channel to broadcast 24 hours a day from Africa through free-to-air channels. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations around the world.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence throughout Pastor Chris's homeland of Nigeria. The ministry operates two Healing Schools that are located in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris hosts sessions throughout the year which allow miraculous events to occur.

Music and Gospel Music form an integral aspect of worship. Pastor Chris is a strong advocate for gospel music. Christ Embassy Churches have a choir that is supervised and trained by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these performers have had successful solo careers.

Alongside preaching the Gospel, the Man of God also established NGOs which are tasked with providing essential services and hope for those who are poor, in need, or forgotten. Five partners form part of COFI, all working together to improve living standards in the poorest regions.

COFI oversees the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organisations works to improve people's lives and health, well-being and overall well-being.
