Minecraft builds are an integral part of the gaming experience for the game that everyone loves to punch down trees. There are plenty of incredible things to look at, from the practical, like this YouTuber who turned Pac-Man into a horror movie as well as the more classic such as these stunning Civilisation VI cutscene replications. While many of these are simply unbound imagination, occasionally Mojang runs competitions to help inspire players.
Mojang challenged players to create amazing Star Wars-themed objects using blocks. The winner of the competition is a person named Ashwood, who recreated the Vuutun Palaa the Lucrehulk-Class battleship which was in charge of the Droids during the Naboo invasion in Episode 1: secretly the most memorable Star Wars film.
Ashwood, who goes by Gumliii on Reddit She explains that the build doesn't currently have an interior, but they're looking into the possibility of adding one. Gumliii has made several Star Wars-themed builds which can be seen on their Planet Minecraft Page. They also announced that they'll be uploading this build there so you can play with it. Just be aware that it's a large diameter of about 1,300 blocks and utilizes the entire height limit of 383 blocks too. It's big.
The other entries in the contest comprise some stunning cityscapes and a recreation of famous models and battles too. You may be wondering how people put these things together. Many of the more impressive ones use plugins such as WorldEdit to simplify things. Gumliii spent two weeks building it. It's still a massive effort even with the plugins.
This Lucrehulk Battleship won me the Star Wars Build Contest! from Minecraft
If you're into absurdly complicated builds, it's definitely worth looking into this amazing IRL creation of a Minecraft piston made of Lego. It is moving, even though they didn't create Redstone work which is perhaps the most impressive part.
