Pastor, faith-healer, author and TV presenter Chris Oyakhilome (also called Pastor Chris) is the creator of LoveWorld Incorporated. The business, also known as Christ Embassy is based out of Lagos, Nigeria. His distinctive interpretation of the Bible has enthralled millions across the globe.
Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a faith-filled family with loving and dedicated parents. He is the child of the elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies to God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. The divine grace of her mother was passed on to her son at an early age.
The entire family is involved with the LoveWorld ministry. Reverend Ken the brother of Ken is the most revered minister of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) in which several gospel artists are among the best-selling worldwide.
Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon is following her father's example of sharing God's Word with the world. As well as being known by CSO as a singer, she is an accomplished, award-winning gospel singer and is part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. Then he was granted a scholarship to study at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There was he obtained a BSc. in Architecture, as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He is also awarded an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. He was at Ambrose Ali University when he was called by God to become a minister and serving the Lord.

The Man of God who was still studying at the university, founded what would become one the most influential churches in the world. A small group of prayer known as Youth for Christ’ was formed. It would grow into one of the largest and most well-known organizations at the university. LoveWorld Incorporated would follow millions of people with the founding of Christ Embassy and LoveWorld Incorporated.
The LoveWorld ministry under the direction of Pastor Chris has become an early pioneer in satellite television and Christian TV programming. LoveWorldSAT broadcast the first Christian television station that reaches from Africa to the rest of the world 24/7 via free-toair networks. There are currently LoveWorld television stations that are available on satellite and cable networks throughout the globe.
Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria in addition to South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The ministry has two healing schools, which are based in South Africa.
Music and Gospel Music are an important part of the worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry to train choirs. Many of these musicians can develop into successful solo artists through Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's guidance and spirit.
