Minecraft Gets Twitch-y with new Partnership For Integrated Streaming
Twitch and Mojang have partnered to deliver an integrated streaming experience in indie sensation Minecraft The two companies announced this partnership at MineCon today. Players who play on PC and Mac with an existing Twitch account will be able to stream their games to their Twitch.tv channels "soon," according to an announcement in a press announcement.
Matthew DiPietro, vice president of marketing at Twitch stated in the same press release that Minecraft has "struck an extremely powerful chord" with Twitch users. Its popularity is growing and it demonstrates that people love watching video games, even though they're not among the most popular games for eSports. If Twitch allows you to stream live gameplay expect a dramatic occasion for both players as well as viewers.
This announcement is only available to Mac and PC users. However, it is important to keep in mind that the Xbox One will get its own Minecraft version and Twitch will be integrated into Microsoft's next generation system. Mojang's Minecraft PC and MAC users will soon be able broadcast their games on Twitch by pressing a button
SAN FRANCISCO 2 November, 2013, Twitch is the world's most popular video platform and community for gamers, announced today at the sold-out MineCon convention an agreement of partnership with Mojang to offer broadcasting features for Minecraft. Twitch integration into the PC and MAC versions lets gamers broadcast directly to their Twitch channels. Soon, Twitch functionality is available.
