Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on December 7 7 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family of faith, supported by loving and devoted parents. He is the eldest child of elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was the pioneer of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of the Oyakhilome families, who passed her divine grace onto her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is comprised of all members of the family. The Reverend brother of Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is home of several best-selling gospel singers.

Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon has decided to follow her father's example of sharing the gospel of God with the world and is also known as CSO She is a talented gospel artist, award-winning and a part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education at Edo College. After a scholarship was awarded to study the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) He earned the BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He has an honorary degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he received a call from God to enter into the ministry and be an obedient servant of the Lord.
