When you sign-up for the Minecraft: Education Edition trial or purchase a Minecraft: Education Edition subscription, Minecraft: Education Edition will be added to the inventory of your Microsoft Admin Center which is linked to your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant. Only administrators of your organization are able to access your Microsoft Admin Center.
If you do not have an Azure AD or Office 365 tenant, you can sign up for a free Office 365 Education subscription when you purchase Minecraft: Education Edition. For more information, check out Office 365 Education pricing and plans.
Schools that purchased Microsoft 365 A3 or Microsoft 365 A5 have an additional option to make Minecraft: Education Edition available to their students:
If your school has these products in your tenant, admins may choose to enable Minecraft Education Edition for students who are using Microsoft 365 A3 or Microsoft 365 A5. Select Users from the left-hand menu of Microsoft Admin Center. From the Users list, choose the users you want to remove or add for Minecraft: Education Edition access. Add the appropriate A3 or A5 license in the event that it hasn't been assigned yet.
If you add a faculty license the user will be assigned the role of instructor in the application and will have elevated permissions.
After you have selected the appropriate license for the product, ensure Minecraft: Education Edition is switched off or on depending on whether you wish to remove or add Minecraft: Education Edition from the user (it will be turned on by default).
If you disable this setting after your students have been using Minecraft: Education Edition they'll have up to 30 more days to play Minecraft: Education Edition before they don't have access.
Users with an Microsoft verified academic institution account will be granted access to the trial version of Minecraft for free. restricted logins for Minecraft Education Edition. Faculty accounts get 25 free logins and student accounts 10 free logins. To purchase direct licenses, go to Minecraft: Education Edition - direct purchase.

In the navigation bar at the top
Scroll down and select Buy Now for Direct Purchase.
This will take you to the Microsoft Admin Center purchase page. You'll need to log into your Administrator account.
If required, please complete any details regarding payment or organization.
Select the number of licenses that you wish to purchase, and then click Place an Order.
After you have purchased licenses, you will need to assign them users in the Admin Center.

Educational institutions that are qualified can purchase Minecraft: Education Edition licenses through their Microsoft channel partner. Schools need to be part of the Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) volume licensing program. Educational institutions must work with their channel partner to decide the Minecraft: Education Edition licensing option is the most suitable for their institution. This is how it works:
The channel partner will submit your volume license order. Your licenses will appear on Volume Licensing Service Center and will be accessible in your Microsoft Store for Education. - You'll receive an email with a link to Microsoft Store for Education. Log in to Microsoft Store for Education to manage and distribute the Minecraft: Education Edition licenses. For more information on distribution options, visit Distribute Minecraft
You can purchase Minecraft Education Edition with a credit or debit card or by submitting an invoice.
During the purchase when you are ready to buy, click
Introduce a new method of payment
. Please provide the necessary information for your debit or credit card.
Invoices are now a valid payment method for Minecraft Education Edition. There are a few prerequisites:
Admins only (not supported by Teachers) - $500 minimum invoice for your initial purchase - $15,000 maximum invoice (for all invoices within the company)
To pay an invoice
During the purchase, click Add a new payment method.
Choose the invoice option and fill in the necessary information to create an invoice. The PO number item allows you to include a tracking number or information that is important to your organization.

After Minecraft: Education Edition is added to your Microsoft Admin Center inventory, you can assign these licenses to your users or download the application.
