Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, nurtured by a family of faith and was supported by his parents. He was the oldest of four children of Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace upon her son from an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is comprised of all members of the family. Reverend Ken is Ken's brother and an active member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren (KattyWorghiren) is the director at the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry. The LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry has many gospel artists who are top-selling across the world.

Pastor Chris has two daughters, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon, also known by CSO, has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father and share the Word of God the world. She is a talented gospel singer who has won awards and is an active member of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to study at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he earned an BSc. in Architecture, as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He holds an honorary degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he received a call from God to go into the ministry and become a servant to the Lord.

The Man of God who was still studying at the university, founded what would later become one of the most influential church in the world. A small prayer group called Youth for Christ’ was created. The LoveWorld ministry under the direction of Chris the pastor, Chris was a pioneer for satellite television and Christian TV programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was the first Christian television station that broadcast out of Africa 24/7 on free-to-air channels. There are LoveWorld television stations on cable and satellite networks all over the globe.

Christ Embassy has strong presence in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria, South Africa and Canada. The ministry has two Healing Schools that are located in South Africa. These schools are where Pastor Chris holds seasonally sessions that enable miracles to take place.

Songs as well as Gospel Music are also an important part of the worship. Pastor Chris invites Christ Embassy Churches have a choir that is trained and overseen by the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these singers are successful in their solo career.

The Future African Leaders Foundation, (FALF), is a non-profit organization that aims to continue the inspiring work of Pastor Chris. It is designed to identify and train young, talented leaders. They prepare them for a bright future by supporting and recognizing their outstanding achievements. Pastor Chris is investing in the young people of today to prepare them to be the leaders of tomorrow.

In addition to preaching the Gospel message the Man Of God has also set up a variety of non-profit organizations that are tasked with providing essential services and hope to those who are the least vulnerable and neglected. COFI is a partnership of five that are committed to improving the living conditions in the least-served regions.

COFI oversees the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups works to enhance the health, lives and well-being of those most in need.

The charity also provides food to indigent children. Through COFI and The InnerCity Mission, Pastor Chris believes in supporting solid foundations for community by promoting accountability, responsible leadership and sustainable development in Africa and in other vulnerable parts of the world , in line to the Sustainable Development Goals.
