Gamescom 2022 will feature new details for Minecraft Legends and Sega's Sonic Frontiers and will likely reveal more on Modern Warfare 2 and Bethesda's upcoming space RPG Starfield. It's the first live Gamescom since the year 2019. However, you can still catch the opening night stream, hosted by Geoff Keighley, from the ease of your home computer. Here's how you can stream Gamescom 2022.

Gamescom 2022 kicks off August 23. If you're in the UK it starts at 7PM, with viewers on the US East Coast able to tune in at 2PM, while viewers on PT will begin at 11AM.

The biggest news that has been confirmed so far is the unveiling of further details and possibly even more gameplay footage from Sonic Frontiers, but host Geoff Keighley has also confirmed that the Gamescom opening show will include "30plus games" It's possible that additional 2022 and 2023's biggest releases will be teased, too.

Call of Duty: Vanguard received a new gameplay trailer at last year's event. Modern Warfare 2 seems to be a promising option this year's event. Be sure to check our guide on Modern Warfare 2 beta launch date and the best way to play. It is also possible to see FIFA 23, God of War: Ragnarok and the coming survival horror The Callisto Protocol. Our personal top-ranked list includes Dead Space as well as the remake of Resident Evil 4, and obviously Starfield, but at the moment, all we can do is speculate and pray.

The opening ceremony will be streamed live on the official Game Awards YouTube and Twitch channels. It's possible to tune for a half-hour prior to the event, since previous events have included announcements as well as gameplay footage. And of course, if you're thinking of traveling to Cologne, Germany, and watching Gamescom in person, you'll be able to purchase a ticket from the event's official website. Xbox will have its own stream during Gamescom which is expected to show Minecraft Legends and A Plague Tale : Requiem. You can watch that via any of the Xbox social channels, including YouTube.

PCGamesN will be reporting live from Gamescom, and bringing you every new trailer and game as they're unveiled. Meanwhile, if you want extra details on some of the most anticipated releases, check out our Starfield cities guide, or our compendium of all the rumours about news, speculation, and news regarding a possible GTA 6 release date, which we're naturally hoping that it will happen sooner rather than later.
