Another week has passed and we're busy removing bugs from the Mojang office. Apart from that we're now offering everyone the chance to use our obfuscation maps, which will simplify your life should you be interested in making mods for Minecraft Java Editon.

Modding

We've decided to simplify the process of modding the game by releasing our game obfuscation maps with all future releases of this game. This means that anyone interested in the game can decode it and figure out how to navigate the code without needing to spend a few months trying to figure out what's going on. We hope that mod framework authors and mod framework writers make use of these files to enhance the updates they already have. These maps will always be available instantly and immediately as part of every version that is released. This does not, however alter the current restrictions regarding what you can and should not do with our game's code or assets. The version manifest json has hyperlinks to the obfuscation maps. They can be pulled automatically for any version.

Parity

The things that are available in other editions of Minecraft are now available in Java Edition!

If a player is attempting to sleep in a bed during the day the doInsomnia game rules will be disabled. This will prevent phantoms from spawning at night. The doImmediateRespawn rule can be turned on to make players respawn immediately.
