Where to Find South Africa Photos

Have you ever tried to find a free photograph of a place in Africa on the internet? I have found the perfect website with hundreds of South Africa photos, photos of Cape Town, wildlife, Mozambique, news south africa Namibia, and all other great destinations! A great website to peruse as an antidote to a boring and languid day at the desk!

They say Africa is a dark and backwards continent. Some people still think that Africans go to school on the back of an animal or have a pet lion or gazelle! Yes, I have met these people on my travels...and well, to be perfectly honest, I leave them in their errant ways of thinking.

One of my favorite observations was in Switzerland, where one particular lady couldn't believe that we wore shoes in South Africa! I asked her why it surprised her to hear that we wear shoes. She responded "whenever I see South Africa in the news the poor African people never have any shoes on!"

Unbelievable, I still smile when I recount this incidence. Yes, I love to live in South Africa, with my pair of Nike or Reebok shoes, sitting at my PC, communicating to the world, online on the WWW, even up to date on the web2.0! So, you may ask where is this all going? I have come across a professional and great website with thousands of South Africa photos and free great pictures of other African countries (see end of article for the link).

Yes, they have photos of snotty nosed African boys with no shoes, but they also have photos of other great things and places. You can get a great feel by browsing through their various galleries. I have seen a few places and countries in Africa, but this site inspires me to travel more! You can go on a virtual journey through some of the African countries.

I have spent hours perusing the different galleries they have. My favourite is the one with South Africa photos. I particularly enjoyed looking at the scenes of Cape Town. There is a reason that in the travel community, Cape Town is regarded as one of the top travel destinations in the world.

It is one of those magical places where people often come back to, or end up living there! Whenever I backpack in Europe, everyone always says that Cape Town is near the top on their travel destination list! There is so much bad publicity of South Africa with its crime and all, but for the most part these are isolated instances.

Almost all visitors leave South Africa with a happy, yet sad look. Happy in that they have had a good time, sad in that there is so much more to do, and such a great desire to miss the plane, leave the responsibilities they are going back to and start life fresh in Africa. Slow down a bit, take things as they come. Anything is possible in Africa and there are so many opportunities!

Oh, back to some of the other great galleries I love to peruse. You should definitely take a look at the wildlife photos gallery. They have some of the most amazing wildlife photos! So many different species and different photos and they are very carefully selected (so it seems), to ensure that you don't have to sift through bad work.

Yes, they sell the photos if you want to print them, but hey, I just enjoyed taking a tour through Africa. So what if I didn't buy, still a great site in my opinion.

I nearly forgot to mention, if you really like their South Africa photos, they do offer a large number of them for free if you want them for webpage use. You just need to drop them a mail. They are pretty prompt at getting back to you with the image you want. They really add life to any webpage that you need pictures or photos for.

Alex Read is a South African living in Cape Town. He enjoys taking photographs wherever he travels. He is not a photographer by profession, but loves his hobby and has had many people comment that his images should be in magazines.

He realized that there are hundreds of other good African photographers, like him, with thousands of magazine quality African images and pictures sitting unused on their computers, which would be perfect for the world to see.

He has a large collection of South Africa photos, wildlife photos, pictures of lions, pictures of elephants, pictures of Namibia, Mozambique and other African countries and themes. He loves for people to see what Africa is like.
