Launchers can change the .minecraft at any path.<br></p><br><p><br> These steps will help you find your appdata folder if you are a Windows user.<br></p><br><p><br> 1. Click Start to run. If you don't see "Run" Press Windows + R. 2. Type %APPDATA%\.minecraft and click "OK". If you're a Mac user, you can access the folder via Spotlight:<br></p><br><p><br> 1. Open Finder, and then press  Shift + Command + G to open the Spotlight popup by clicking the magnifying glass icon on the right of the Menu Bar. 2. Type ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft and hit | Enter.<br> <br><br> Linux and macOS use in their paths to refer to the home directory. Folders that begin with . are automatically hidden. Ctrl +H toggles the status of hidden files in most file managers.
